This year Červená Barva Press celebrated 18 years of publishing in April. Founded in 2005 by Gloria Mindock, editor and publisher, the press has continued to grow every year. The Vegan Market fall edition in Somerville is a free event being held on Saturday, September 16, at the Arts at the Armory, 191 Highland Ave. from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. They will have vegan products and food from small businesses around New England. Only service animals are allowed in the Armory. Parking is available in the lot behind the building.

The Somerville Community Growing Center will hold Gathering of the Fairies on Saturday, September 16, 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. (rain date Saturday, September 30). Celebratory activities in the garden for fairies and their friends include storytelling, building a fairy house and creating a fairy wand.
