Today she is the author of seven published books of fiction and poetry. Michael Golding, of 112 Southampton St., Dorchester, May 16, 6:09 p.m., arrested at Middlesex Ave. on warrant charges of larceny from a building, trespassing, receiving stolen property over $250, larceny over $250, and felony nighttime breaking and entering.

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan has announced that Carlos Colina, 35, of Cambridge, was found guilty Friday in Middlesex Superior Court of first-degree murder and improper disposal of human remains in connection with the April 2015 death and dismemberment of Jonathan Camilien, 26, of Somerville.

Curtatone and the Board of Aldermen invite residents to the Spring 2018 ResiStat Community Meetings, a twice-yearly effort to share the latest City news, data, and neighborhood updates directly with residents and gather their feedback. In order to take advantage of construction mobilization efficiencies and the availability of equipment and workforce, the Design-Build (DB) Entity for the GLX project, GLX Constructors (GLXC), will begin tree and stump clearing and trash removal operations in selective areas along the west/south side of the MBTA Lowell Line right-of-way.

SCES Housing Specialist Kristin Bell recently spoke about elder housing options and resources for aging in place at the 20th Annual New England Resident Service Coordinators conference.

Housing options and tools for Aging in Place were the featured topics of a recent regional workshop led by Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services (SCES) Housing Specialist Kristin Bell.

Bell spoke before roughly 40 professionals at the 20th Annual New England Resident Service Coordinators conference. The audience was primarily service coordinators, who support public housing residents in a variety of ways, explained Bell.

Update: Current weather forecasts for Sunday include a significant chance of thunder and lightning in the area through the late afternoon. After reviewing all available forecasts and speaking with parade participants, the decision has been made to cancel the parade out of concern for public safety.

WGBH is collaborating with “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” author Jeff Kinney for a new event series, High School Quiz Show: Extra Credit. Twelve Massachusetts high school academic teams  will compete in a live tournament event hosted by Kinney at his Plainville, MA bookstore, An Unlikely Story.
