Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Chief of Police Charles Femino have confirmed that Darien Burns, 53, of Somerville has been arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury in connection with the fatal stabbing of Joseph Muzzi, 33, of Weymouth that occurred last night inside the Spin Cycle laundromat on Main Street in Somerville.

The Somerville Rotary Club hosted a fundraiser with the Kiwanis and Lions Clubs of Somerville at the Mount Vernon Restaurant last week. Known as a Tri-Club meeting, the three service clubs raised money, food, and personal items for the Somerville Homeless Coalition’s Project Soup and Respond Inc.
