Students from about 20 schools throughout the Boston area took part in a STEM Education Day at Fenway Park last week, as part of the CITGO STEM Talent Pipeline Program offered in partnership with the Boston Red Sox.

150 students from the West Somerville Neighborhood School and the Argenziano School were among the hundreds of students who spent the day participating in STEM activities at Fenway Park, then took in an afternoon Red Sox game against the A’s. Graham, from the West Somerville Neighborhood School, took top honors in the bottle rocket challenge that afternoon.

Several students, including a student from the Argenziano and one from the WSNS, also had an opportunity to speak with astronauts on the international space station.
