Warning from Somerville Animal Control

On January 26, 2024, in Latest News, by The Somerville Times
A canine recently passed away in Somerville from contracting Leptospirosis. Many wild animals carry the bacteria and is spread through bodily fluids. It is most commonly found in raccoons, skunks, opossums, squirrels, rats, mice, and foxes. Leptospirosis can be prevented by vaccinating your canine and to be sure your canine is up to date. Please talk with your vet to keep your canines happy and healthy.
