Somerville Police Crime Log Aug. 29 – Sept. 4

Residential Breaking and Entering
On 8/29/23 at approximately 12:14 p.m., Somerville Police responded to a residence on Laurel St. for report of an attempted breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated a male party opened his front door but then fled after hearing a dog.

Assault
On 8/29/23 at approximately 3:09 p.m., a male party entered the station and stated the day prior, his juvenile granddaughter was assaulted by two juvenile females at the AMC Theater.
 
Assault
On 9/2/23 at approximately 11:05 a.m., Somerville Police responded to Myrtle St. for a past assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated she was involved in an argument with a female known to her. During the argument, the female shoved her. Officers identified the female suspect.
 
Residential Breaking and Entering
On 9/3/23 at approximately 12:20 a.m., Somerville Police responded to a residence on Pearson Ave. for report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the residents who both stated that a female party had climbed through a bedroom window. When they confronted her, she fled out the back door. Nothing was reported missing.
 
Assault
On 8/31/23 at approximately 11:40 a.m., Somerville Police responded to a business on Elm St. for report of an assault and shoplifting. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated a female party began shoplifting numerous items. When he confronted her, she punched him in the stomach and fled.
