Lo-fi art takes over Somerville, MA. The 10th anniversary celebration of the Somerville Toy Camera Festival (STCF) takes place at the Nave Gallery, Brickbottom Gallery and Washington Street Gallery, making it among the largest toy camera festivals in the world.

Showcasing the work of local, national and international photographers, the STCF highlights the talents and creativity of artists using low tech tools to create high art images. Juried by Ann Jastrab.

Since 2013, the Somerville Toy Camera Festival has celebrated the quirky and creative results that can happen when photographers are forced to loosen their controls, submit to the light and embrace the accidental.

Each year since, the festival has brought a wide range of toy camera photography by US and international artists together in simultaneous shows at galleries throughout the city, and featured related programming including artist talks/panel discussions, workshops, social events, and a darkroom day.

Opening Reception: Sunday, September 10, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Nave Gallery (Teele Square), 155 Powder House Blvd, Somerville, MA.

Masks are required. No refreshments will be available.
