Now is the snow season.  Diana Der-Hovanessian, president of the New England Poetry Club sent me a poem she translated from the Armenian for the LYRICAL. 

FIRST SNOW

Look

it is snowing again

lightly, lightly

as if into a child’s dream

and the whole world

becomes painted out,

a white-water sea.

Not a voice,

not a whisper now

from seeds, leaves, clover fields;

everything sleeps

under snow that falls

lightly, lightly

as if into a child’s dream.
