Over 125 local seniors joined Mayor Joseph Curtatone and Council on Aging Director Cindy Hickey to enjoy holiday music, dancing, fine catered food by Amelia’s Italian Restaurant and even a visit from Santa.

Help from members of Somerville Board of Aldermen, Somerville Lion’s Club members, Commodore-Elect Bill Rogers, Vice Commodore Sammy Roselando, Rear Commodore Diane LeBlanc and WHYM members, Somerville Police Chief Michael Cabral, State Representative Tim Toomey, Middlesex Register of Deeds Gene Brune and State Senator Patrica Jehlen were all in attendance at the festive event to assist in preparation as well as serving the holiday buffet.

The annual event was held at the Somerville Winter Hill Yacht Club located on Foley Street in Somerville. The Winter Hill Yacht Club hosted the event with help from The Somerville Lion’s Club who both joined forces with plenty of holiday spirit and cheer to make this year’s event to the local seniors a success.

The Winter Hill Yacht Club plans on hosting the event again next year as well as for other local events for the community.
