
Arnold “Bud” Knox Jr. Of Lexington, formerly of Reading, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 70 years to Evelyn M. (Taintor) Knox. Devoted father of Jeffrey A. Knox and his wife Carolyn of Milford; Barry J. Knox and his wife Marie of Dover, NH; and Wendy E. (Knox) Costello and her husband Joseph of Lexington. Loving Poppa to Rachel and her husband Tom, Katie and her husband Christian, Christopher and his wife Caitlyn, Julie and her husband Michael, Brendan, Joey, Catherine, Jenna, Jackie and her husband Joseph, Alison, and Jeffrey. Detour Between Dane St. and the Somerville Ave./Washington St. Intersection Delayed
Part of ongoing Somerville Ave. Utility & Streetscape Improvements Project, work zone will require detour for through traffic for approximately six months. Access to businesses will be maintained.
Due to delays with necessary, ongoing Eversource Electric work, the next phase of construction for the Somerville Ave. Utilities & Streetscape Improvements project initially scheduled for November 2018, has been delayed until early 2019. No detour will be implemented in Union Square for this project in December.

Community-Driven Process to update and extend current 2030 plan; SomerVision 2040 Kick-Off Meeting Jan. 15
Mayor Joseph A Curtatone is pleased to announce the launch of a new community process to update SomerVision: Somerville’s Comprehensive Plan 2010-2030 and create SomerVision 2040.
Nearly ten years ago in 2009, the Somerville community came together over the course of more than 50 meetings, visioning sessions, and workshops to hammer out a guiding document for the city. The resulting SomerVision plan includes more than 584 values-driven goals, policies, and actions ranging from housing, job, and open space creation to neighborhood preservation, transformational development, and transportation advances, and more.

Police officers were dispatched to the Taqueria Tapatio restaurant on Broadway last week on reports of a dispute in progress.
Upon arrival, the officers spoke with a woman who stated that a man, identified as Francisco Resate-Reyes, who had attacked her over the summer inside the restaurant had come into the restaurant that evening and began threatening her and yelling incoherently.
