Today is Election Day, make your voice heard

If you’re voting in-person, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Look up your polling place before you head out. You can still vote in person if you’ve applied to vote by mail.

Offices on the ballot include Mayor, Councilor At Large, Ward Councilors, and School Committee members. Local ballot questions also include a question asking voters to accept or reject the proposed new City Charter and a question on whether to extend the Mayoral term from 2 to 4 years starting no earlier than 2028.

25068532: On 11/2/25 at approximately 10:43 p.m., Somerville Police responded to Assembly Row for report of a person stabbed. Upon arrival, officers located two juvenile males suffering from minor stab wounds. They stated they got into a fight and stabbed each other.
