Event update: Due to current weather forecasts, the New England Hong Kong Festival will now take place on Sunday, May 31, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Seven Hills Park.

On Sunday, May 31, join the third annual New England Hong Kong Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Seven Hills Park in Somerville to celebrate the culture, food, and creativity of the Hongkonger community across the region. The event is free and open to all. 

Hosted during Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Month, this year’s festival brings together 40 local vendors, artists, and community groups offering food, gifts, and interactive  activities. Attendees can also enjoy live performances from bands, martial artists, and cultural performers, as well as free games, family-friendly activities, and photo ops, including a minibus cutout board, Hong Kong bus stop stands, and stamp stations inspired by Hong Kong public transit.

This year’s festival is hosted by the New England Hong Kong Festival Planning Team and co-hosted by the City of Somerville and the Somerville Office of Immigrant Affairs. The organizing team is made up of diasporic Hongkongers from Greater Boston who are passionate about community-building and cultural storytelling.
