Celebrate spring with the annual Morris Dancing and participatory Maypole dance. Take home native seeds harvested at the Center. Bring and/ or take seeds or seedlings from a Seed Exchange Table. Learn about local pollinators and the related City Action Plan.

Join Tufts Engineers Without Borders for a grand opening tomorrow, May 4, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1.p.m. of Project Greenhouse. They have been designing a greenhouse as a local project to work on building engineering skills and sustainability education. Their  project aims to have Civic and International focuses for both university students and the local community.

A nonprofit organization based in Cambridge has been taking steps to change the way we learn about climate change. Climable was founded in 2012 with a goal of making climate science more understandable and actionable to a larger audience.

Residents can access free unlocks for pedal or ebikes now through Friday, May 10

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (“Blue Cross”) and the City of Boston are providing Bluebikes unlock codes to residents aimed to help people move around the region and alleviate the impact of rapid transportation disruptions with the Red Line closure.

Civic Day aims to provide community members of all ages with fun, interactive opportunities to learn about city government, programs, services, and ways to get involved.

SOS is presenting a fashion show, now called Artwear. The show will be held on Thursday, May 2, at the Crystal Ballroom in Davis Square

Somerville Open Studios 2024 is happening this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, May 4-5, from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. each day, at artists’ studios and homes throughout Somerville. Meet the artists, and check out the art at this free city-wide event.

On Saturday, April 27, the Somerville Police Department and the Community Outreach, Help & Recovery (COHR) unit participated in the City of Somerville’s Civic Day. Together staff engaged members of the community in activities to encourage positive emotional awareness, regulation and resiliency for community members of all ages.
