Somerville’s Winter Hill Yacht Club hosted a community event with a CPR and AED (Automated Electronic Defibrillator) course Wednesday evening.
The American Heart Association approved course was voluntarily presented by veteran Burlington Police Detective Paul Glejzer who donated his time for training the group. He also brought in special training mannequins and training defibrillators along with an American Heart Association training video on CPR, AED use, and first aid.

Somerville police were treated to some specific details of drug trafficking after serving a warrant upon a man at his home on South Street last Friday.
Roshawn Ballard, 35, confessed to being in possession of a sizable amount of cocaine and further volunteered details of his participation in distribution activities, according to police.

So is the kind of “stuff.” It has to have enough cheese, but he’s not a fan of extra tomatoes. No small slices and no square slices. Like a lot of kids, he takes his pizza very seriously.

They claim to fight for the “99 percent” or the percentage of the country they rally around who receive exponentially less wealth than the top one percent.

On Saturday, October 8, Shape Up Somerville, The Welcome Project, and the Somerville Housing Authority hosted a Block Party to celebrate the Mystic Mobile Market. The event took place at 530 Mystic Avenue in Somerville, on the lawn in front of the Mystic Activity Center at the Mystic Housing Development. Events included pumpkin decorating, pumpkin recipe handouts (multilingual), cooking demonstrations, live entertainment and dance demonstrations, and arts and crafts.
