Join the City of Somerville for the fifth annual Somerville Bulb Blitz on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. to noon, and help prepare your neighborhood for a bright and colorful spring 2016! Residents are invited to join city staff to plant bulbs that will bloom in Spring 2016. Since the Bulb Blitz began in 2011, residents have planted more than 12,300 bulbs citywide. With 100% of Somerville Ward 3’s vote counted, Lee Erica Palmer was honored to earn a seat on the Somerville School Committee with 81% of the vote, according to the unofficial tally. 
Many of us do feel a certain sense of loyalty to and take pride in the neighborhoods we live, work and play in. And why not? We choose to live in this great city for reasons of our own, and it’s clear that most of us really enjoy it here.
