The John T. Forcellese Memorial Fund 12th annual Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, September 8, at the Falmouth Country Club on the cape. Tee time is 8:30 a.m. Shotgun Start. All golfers much check in by 7:45 a.m. The format is a scramble scored by foursome. Entry fee is $100 per player and includes green fees, cart, and luncheon on site immediately following. There will be lots of prizes in three divisions. This is a great fundraiser for various scholarships to be given out here in Somerville as well as Falmouth. That company, which still exists today, is Chase & Sanborn. The coffee company was established in 1863 by James Sanborn and Caleb Chase.

A car rolled down the bridge in Ball Square, across Broadway before stopping when it hit a traffic light. The accident happened around 5 p.m. Tuesday evening.

Joseph Renzulo, 49, of 27 West St., Melrose, August 20, 7:13 p.m., arrested at 220 Washington St. on warrant charges of assault and battery and misdemeanor breaking and entering.

Somerville High School Headmaster John Oteri finalized his school leadership team in recent weeks with the hiring of three new Department Heads as final preparations for the start of the 2012-2013 school year are under way.
