Each year at this time we make a request for all of you who are listening to the fantastic music of years gone by as presented on WJIB 740 AM and 101.3 FM. Bob Bittner from Maine is the genius who has kept these great tunes playing 24-7 for many years now. His stations are the only ones playing those wonderful songs from the 1930’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.

Many of you out there listen to this music day and night…you know who you are. Many of you listeners also know that Bob Bittner relies on listener contributions to support WJIB … THIS MEANS YOU!

So here’s the deal: Bob/WJIB is $5,000 short this year because Bob has requested that his listeners now switch their contributions to Bahamas relief. This is the kind of great guy Bob Bittner is. If you see his annual expense statement you will see that he takes NO MONEY for himself and cuts his expenses to the bone.

Please, please, please do the following: Give a non-deductible contribution to WJIB. Make your check out to…WJIB and send it to PO Box 308 Bath, Maine 04530. Better yet, make an instant donation through PayPal to bobthemusicman7@aol.com.

Bahamian relief donations can also be made through The Bahamian Red Cross and The Salvation Army … always a good way to get your money applied directly to the relief effort.

In other words, we are asking you TO DONATE TO BOTH! You’ll be glad you did.
