The Somerville Road Runners presented the 7th annual Race to the Row, a series of events through Assembly Square and along the Mystic River, in Assembly Square in Somerville on Sunday, August 25.

Runners enjoyed a Fast Mile, a 5K and a free Kids Fun Run. The 5K was open to runners, walkers, teams and families of all ages and abilities, ending with a fun-filled post-race party with food, drinks and beer served from the local restaurants and businesses. All proceeds benefit East Somerville Main Streets as well as Somerville TrackPAC.

The first 400 registrants to the 5K received a t-shirt, and all 5K and Mile registrants, and all volunteers got free food, drinks and dessert afterward. Everyone involved participated in the post-race festivities. There was an awards ceremony for top finishers and age-group winners in Mens, Womens and Wheelchair divisions as well as team awards. All individual winners got medals as well.
