OPENAIR Circus performances August 2-4

On July 26, 2019, in Latest News, by The Somerville Times

These days it seems like all of Somerville is under construction. Even as seemingly all the bridges are being worked on and all the squares have detours, the OPENAIR Circus brings you its 34th annual season-capping performances during the first weekend of August.

Over 100 children (and adults) will show the skills they’ve built up this year and in past summers.

Performances are at Nunziato Field, at the intersection of Summer St and Vinal Ave. Friday, August 2 at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, August 3 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.; Sunday, August 4 at 2:00 p.m. Suggested donation: $3. Each show is roughly 2 hours with a brief intermission, with refreshments available.

The circus encourages green travel: The Green Line hasn’t arrived in Union Sq. yet, but the 85 and 87 bus routes come just South of the park and the 88 and 90 bus routes stop at the top of the hill at Highland and Vinal. Bicycling, walking, jogging, and unicycling are all also encouraged. Visit www.openaircircus.org/performance.asp.
