The Somerville Historic Preservation Commission is partnering with other local organizations to host events honoring Somerville’s history and historic assets as part of May Preservation Month.

On Saturday, May 18, they held the East Somerville Family Scavenger Hunt. The scavenger hunt used manhole covers identified by local artist Daniel Fireside plus other urban artifacts to explore Somerville.

The hunt started at East Branch Public Library and ended at the East Somerville Community School. The kids solved the clues and earned fun prizes.
