The FCC wants to defund community media

We are writing to remind you that community media centers and their public, educational and government channels across the country are in serious jeopardy of losing all funding and support. There is still time for you to help us fight this.

You can learn more about this fight in DigBoston’s recent editorial written by Jason Pramas entitled: “SAVE COMMUNITY MEDIA.”

Please consider taking a few minutes right now to submit comments to the FCC in support of public access television and our community media resources. You can file up until this Friday, December 14th, so please take the following steps to do so soon!

INSTRUCTIONS:
Online, go to https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs/filings/express
In “Proceedings” enter “05-311”
In “Name of Filer” enter your name or your organization’s name
In “Address” enter your Address
Enter your City, State, and Zip Code
Enter your brief comments. Click here to see an example letter
Check “Email Confirmation”
Enter “Continue to Review Screen”
Enter “Submit”
