Police officers were dispatched to American Fresh Brewhouse at Assembly Row at approximately 3:20 a.m. last Wednesday in response to motion alarms being activated.

Upon arrival, the officers spotted a female exiting the establishment, later identified as Amy McGregor of Medford.

The officers asked McGregor what she was doing inside of the restaurant, and she reportedly by told them she worked there and was just using the bathroom since the door was unlocked.

According to reports, McGregor also said that she had walked from her residence in Medford looking for a computer to use to look up a flight itinerary.

The officers had dispatch get in contact with the owner of the restaurant to confirm if McGregor did in fact work there. The owner reportedly stated that she did not work there and that he had never heard of her.

The officers asked McGregor again what she was doing inside the restaurant. She changed her story and said that she wanted to get a job there, and went inside to use the bathroom since all the lights were on. The officers noted that all the main lights were off with only a couple of ambient lights on behind the bar.

McGregor was placed under arrest on a charge of felony nighttime breaking and entering and transported to the police station for booking.

The owner of the restaurant was able to capture still images of McGregor inside the restaurant and said he would be contacting his security company to see about retrieving the video surveillance images.
