Short-term rentals community discussion

A meeting on possible future regulations for short-term rentals has been rescheduled to Thursday, July 19, at 6 p.m., in the Argenziano School cafeteria, 290 Washington St.

You can visit somervillema.gov/strs to learn more about short-term rentals in Somerville. If you can’t make the meeting, there’s also a short survey you can take to give your input.

    Need to stop people from taking whole units off the market for short term rentals. Allow for unlimited rooms in owner occupied units and a cap on the number of rental nights on whole unit rentals. If someone violates the rule let the city do what it does best. Fine them at a higher rate than any other municipality.
