A Night for Charlene Harris brought pro wrestlers to Somerville High School for a special fundraiser benefiting the Charlene Harris Scholarship Fund.

On Friday night, May 11, Northeast Championship Wrestling proudly presented A Night for Charlene Harris, a special fundraiser celebrating the life of the late Charlene with all proceeds of this event going to the Charlene Harris Scholarship Fund.

It was a small but raucous crowd that came out for the event to support the Harris family, with a great time had by all.

Many NCW stars donated their time to the event as well as a special musical performance by Jazz Congress, a band made up of students from Somerville High. With items donated by the WWE’s Sasha Banks, John Cena Senior, many local businesses, and even fans bringing items to donate the Harris family raised over $2000 (final numbers are not yet available) toward the Charlene Harris Scholarship Fund.

In the night’s featured match Danny Harris (“The Dan Ram”) and his longtime friend and partner Sam Amado (Makua) won the NCW Tag Team Championship defeating the nefarious Kool People (DJ AC & Sammy Deleon) thanks to back up from Mr. Cena, acting as the special enforcer referee.

The event also featured special musical performances by the Somerville High School Chorus & Band, special guest former NFL Superstar and Somerville’s own Gosder Cherilus, and the very best of Northeast Championship Wrestling and its champions. It was a night of chills, spills, and a whole lot of fun.
