Five Somerville residents were hurt in a crash on the Mass Pike in Milbury this morning, State Police said.

A 1984 RAM Wagon carrying 10 people and on its way to New York had its rear tire blown out at 5:55 a.m., according to police. Two people were ejected from the vehicle, according to authorities. The van then rolled over at least twice.

The Somerville passengers included the driver Jacques Espera, 30, Stanley Cotiere, 30; Steve Cotiere, 19; Marie Mareus-Charles, 41; and a 14-year-old girl who has not been identified. They were all transported by ambulance to UMass Memorial Medical Center, according to police.

The highway was briefly shut down Friday between 6:20 and 6:40 a.m. to allow a medical helicopter to land and transport an injured woman.
