With 14:19 left to play in Post University’s first Collegiate Sprint Football game Friday against Penn in Philadelphia, Somerville’s Derrick Chance leaped into the end zone over a Quaker defender. It was the first touchdown in Post University football history.
Post University has never fielded a football team in its 120 year history.

“I came from Somerville to a whole new environment, a new program with new people,” said Chance. “I didn’t know what to expect, but when coach called my number I jumped and got it. This is unbelievable.”
Chance graduated from Saint Clement High School and was the fourth athlete to rush for 1,000 yards in high school.
