A man was struck and killed by an inbound Fitchburg Line MBTA commuter rail train near the Park St. Grade Crossing in Somerville shortly after noon on Monday.

Police said that the man, whose name has not yet been made public, was trespassing on the tracks at the time he was struck by the train.

Investigators have indicated that they do not believe foul play was involved, and the investigation is still underway.
