The Boston Garden of Peace is a visual memorial created to commemorate victims of homicide. Each year victims of violence from Boston and surrounding areas are recognized in a celebration at the Garden of Peace located adjacent to the Plaza of 1 Cambridge Street (on Somerset Street), Boston, MA.

Last Thursday, September 15, 39 new stones were added to the Garden. Denise Cosby, a real estate agent at The Norton Group in Somerville, lost her son to murder on the grounds of Harvard University in May of 2009.

Attorney General Maura Healy and Commissioner Ed Davis were there to host the ceremony. This year Denise returned to share her story with other parents, families and friends who have lost their loved ones to murder.
