No Styrofoam recycling at 2016 hazardous waste events

styrofoam_5_29_13_webPlease note that due to vendor availability issues, styrofoam will not be collected at any of the remaining Hazardous Waste Collection Days for 2016:
  • Saturday, September 10, 2016
  • Saturday, October 8, 2016
  • Saturday, November 12, 2016

Hazardous Waste Collection Days are held on the second Saturday of each month between April and November, and are open to City residents only. Interested residents may bring a utility bill or driver’s license showing a Somerville address. No business or rental property owners are eligible.

The following materials will be accepted at remaining 2016 Hazardous Waste Collection Days:
  • Paints
  • Thinners
  • Cleaners
  • Motor Oil
  • Antifreeze
  • Mercury Thermometers
  • Car Batteries
  • Compact Fluorescent Light (CFL) Bulbs
  • Rechargeable Batteries
  • Household Chemicals (in small quantities)
Materials may not be dropped off in plastic trash bags due to possible spills or leaks.
