An investigation into drug dealing in Davis Square led officers to a Revere heroin dealer last week and a confrontation that left two officers with injuries.

Drug investigators followed Angela Pisani, who was arrested July 20 in Davis Square on heroin charges, to a basement apartment at 79 Dover St. and saw Raymond Sanchez enter, police said.

Police watched Sanchez, 26, leave the apartment and allegedly overheard him say in Spanish on his cell phone, “Angela is not ready, you will have to come back.”

When Hyde approached Sanchez, Sanchez tried to put a small object into his mouth and elbowed Hyde, police said.

During the scuffle, Sanchez and Hyde fell to the ground and Sanchez spit up a small plastic bag of heroin, police said.

Hyde suffered injuries to his right hand and right shoulder and another officer hurt his neck struggling with Sanchez.

Sanchez was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a police officer, drug violation near a school or park, resisting arrest, assault and battery on a police officer and possession to distribute a class A drug.
