Well known matriarch of the Hart family, Mary Kane-Hart, mother, nurse and friend to many was surprised this past Sunday at Kitty’s in North Reading when her family threw her a surprise 70th birthday party.

Her nine children, their spouses and 16 grandkids, as well over a 100 relatives and friends, showed their appreciation to a great lady who is loved for her service to her family and community over the years.

Mary has been a very integral part of our community and church over the years here in Somerville, and is very active in many civic organizations and church groups. She is still doing a full time job as a nurse in Malden at one of the clinics.

It was a great time for family and friends to get reacquainted and see how each one has grown. We enjoyed it very much.
