Friday night at Montvale Plaza, a surprise retirement party was held for Sal and Vito Ferrigno, of Pasty’s Pastry fame.

About 100 family members and those that worked there over the years attended, along with various distributors that sold to the bakery.

Both Sal and Vito were extremely surprised by and pleased with the get-together. Everyone had a great time, some emotional and otherwise, but it was a great send-off to a family that has contributed to the fiber of Somerville in their way of business for 49 years.
