Constructed from approximately 6,350 LEGO® bricks, model will be on display at Boston Public Library March 28 – April 5

Nice work if you can get it, if you like playing with Legos, that is.In a preview of what visitors will discover at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston, a replica of the iconic Boston Public Library will be unveiled Friday, March 28 at 11 a.m. in the library’s Johnson Lobby. The 2.6-square foot replica, which was constructed from approximately 6,350 bricks and took 47 hours to design and build, will be on display until April 5 at Boston Public Library, the first large free municipal library in the U.S.

The model represents the first reveal of those that will be included in the MINILAND® attraction at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston. In a December contest, the attraction’s Facebook followers voted for the library as the Boston landmark they’d most like to receive the “LEGO®” treatment.

MINILAND at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston will feature a miniature landscape of area buildings, attractions and other significant sites. LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston opens May 23 at Assembly Row in Somerville. Tickets must be pre-purchased online in order to guarantee admission.
