The 12th Ras na hEireann U.S.A. 5Km sponsored by Marathon Sports & Mizuno is only days away now, taking place on March 16, 2014 in Somerville, Massachusetts.

There are 5000 people from all over New England and New York registered for the premier St. Padraig’s Day 5Km road race in New England that welcomes all!

The Ras na hEireann U.S.A. 5Km benefits many great local non-profits including: Somerville High School Football Program, Somerville High School Ultimate Frisbee Program, Somerville Recreation, Somerville YMCA, Somerville High School Soccer Program, Somerville High School Track n’ Field Program, Medford High School Baseball Program, Wakefield High School Track n’ Field Program, CHIPS House, Breast Cancer Fund, Boston Triathlon Team and this years Boston Irish Film Festival taking place in Somerville, MA

Join us on the course route as a spectator or at one of our many Harpoon Brewery sponsored post Ras parties at 17 establishments in the City of Somerville and Cambridge, MA   This year we have three lads, two from Kenya – Amos Sang & Glarius Rop and one from South Africa – Alistair Cragg each capable of breaking the long established men’s record of 14:19 set by Mark Kenneally – Dublin, Ireland in 2006. If the Men’s Course Record or the Women’s Course Record is broken the runner will receive an extra $500 on top of the winners prize of $400.
