The tenants of this house at 10 Montrose St. were displaced following a fire Thursday, Dec. 26.

An electrical fire at a three-story home at 10 Montrose St. Thursday afternoon displaced the tenants of the six apartments in the house. No injuries were reported.

According to the Somerville Fire Department, a second-floor tenant noticed smoke coming from the baseboards of her apartment shortly before 2:30. Somerville firefighters, as well as crews from Cambridge, responded. While the heaviest fire damage occurred on the second floor, the entire building suffered extensive smoke and fire damage.

The fire appears to have originated in a wall between the first and second floors and then spread up to the third floor.
