SHS at Franklin relays results

Results of the division 1 relays held on Saturday, April 28, at Franklin High School are as follows: The 4×100 placed second with a time of 49.77. Running on the relay was Alison Kaba, Gelynne Berger, Michel-le Meranda and Nicole Genard. This time broke the previous SHS record of 49.89 set in 2011 by Gelynne Berger, Ashley Murphy, Michel-le Meranda and Nicole Genard.

“This was the first time that these girls had run together this year in the 4×100. They have the abilty to break 49.0 and be one of the fastest 4×100 relays in the state. Breaking the school record in their first race this season is impressive to me,” said Coach Charles O’Roarke.

The 4×200 relay also placed second with a time of 1:49.75, with the same four girls running.

The javelin relay placed third. Throwing for SHS was Nicole Genard, Lorenza Etienne and Kellie Haggerty. The team placed ninth overall with a total of 22 points.

Non-scoring relays:

The long jump relay, featuring Gelynne Berger, Alison Kaba and Saragrace Magre, just missed placing seventh.

The triple jump relay, with Lorenza Etienne, Melissa Baptista and Michel-le Meranda, also just missed placing seventh.

The 4×100-B team: Saragrace Magre, Taylor Machado, Melissa Baptista and Kaylee Lima.

The 4×200-B-team: Saragrace Magre, Taylor Machado, Lorenza Etienne and Melissa Baptista.

Thye 4×800 relay: Melina Garro-Duplisea, Maggie Langwig, Kellie Hagerty, Pristine Mei.

The sprint medley relay: Kaylee Lima, Cindy Mei, Leslie Duarte and Tianna Sebastian.

The shot put relay: Natalie David, Kim Joseph, and Kellie Hagerty.

The discus relay: Natalie David, Kim Joseph, and Leslie Duarte.
