At the Dartmouth College Invitational on Saturday, January 7, Nicole Genard placed fifth in the 55m hurdles with a time of 8.59. She also finished 8th in the long jump with a jump of 16’ 9”.  She was the only girl to score.


Also Competing were: Gelynne Berger-55m dash-8.7; Michel-le Meranda-300m-44.4; Kaylee Lima-300m; Pristine Mei-1000m-3:30; Melina Garro-Duplisea-1000m-3:31; Maggie Langwig-mile-6:18; Rita Musello-Kelliher-6:31; Natalie David-shot put-28’8.
Results of the first East Coast Track Championships held at the Providence Career and Technical School in Providence, RI:  Although it was not a meet with large numbers, it had a lot of quality performers, which usually happens in a first time meet.
There were a few Massachusetts teams, some from Connecticut, but mostly Rhode Island teams. Finishers in the top six earned medals. Finishers in the top eight earned all-east coast honors and certificates. 55m hurdles- Nicole Genard-1st-8.39 Two mile-Pristine Mei-5th-in a personal best of 12:41. Melina Garro-Duplisea-8th-also in a personal best of 13:12. 400m-Michel-le Meranda-6th-63.92. 4x200m relay-4th-1:50.94- Miranda DeSaulniers, Gelynne Berger, Michel-le Meranda, Nicole Genard.
