Buy groceries and help end poverty

This month, helping your struggling neighbors can be as easy as buying groceries.
The Community Action Agency of Somerville (CAAS) is working to end poverty where we live.  Shop at Whole Foods Market Medford on Tuesday, January 10 and they will donate 5 percent of your total to CAAS.  Shop at the store (located at 2151 Mystic Valley Parkway, Medford) any time during the month and you can round up your purchase to benefit CAAS, or make a donation on the spot.

“What could be easier?” commented CAAS Director of Planning Dennis Fischman.  “While you are putting food on your table, help your neighbors put food on theirs, or keep a roof over their heads.  Thanks to Whole Foods Market for giving customers the opportunity to support CAAS, on January 10 and throughout the month.”
The mission of the Community Action Agency of Somerville (CAAS) is to reduce poverty among local families and individuals while working to counteract, and whenever possible eliminate, the societal conditions that cause and perpetuate poverty.  For more information, go to http://www.caasomerville.org/, or find them on Facebook.
