To celebrate the latest installation, Somerville Arts and Culture (SAC) invited community members to a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, October 27, on the corner of Temple St. and Mystic Ave. Initiated in 1996 by former SAC Director Cecily Miller, the Mystic Mural Program creates a space where students from all backgrounds can create, learn, and contribute to the vibrancy of their community. During the ceremony, attendees viewed the 2026 mural and heard from Mayor Jake Wilson and Muralist  David Fichter.
