On Saturday August 1  from 5-8 pm at Somerville High School Auditorium at 81 Highland Ave. the Somerville Democratic Party  will hold 3 debates for each of the open seat Democratic primaries: the 27th and 34th Middlesex House districts and 2nd Middlesex Senate district. Come hear from all 9 candidates running to be the new legislators representing Somerville, Medford, Cambridge, and Winchester!

5 p.m. 34th Middlesex State House Debate: Will Mbah, Chris Oates, and Paul Ruseau

6 p.m. 2nd Middlesex State Senate Debate: Burhan Azeem, Christine Barber, Matthew McLaughlin, and Erika Uyterhoeven (Thomas Hopcroft has withdrawn from the race.)

7 p.m. 27th Middlesex State Rep Debate: Ben Ewen-Campen and Olivia Gilligan-Corsetti

There are no Republican, 3rd party, or unenrolled candidates for any of these legislative districts, so the September 1st Democratic Primary will be the decisive election.
