This month, East Somerville Main Streets is proud to recognize Mary Cassesso as their Community Hero! As an East Somerville native, Mary continues to be one of the neighborhood’s biggest champions.

Every Wednesday, you’ll find her volunteering at Connexion’s weekly meal, greeting neighbors with kindness and helping serve dinner. Each week, she also distributes lunches to neighbors experiencing homelessness in East Somerville, offering not just food, but great conversation and genuine care.

Mary is a fierce advocate for East Somerville’s small businesses, a dedicated supporter of East Somerville Main Streets, and serves on the boards of several Somerville nonprofit organizations. She leads with generosity and an unwavering commitment to making Somerville a more connected and caring place.
