On July 12, the city held a soccer clinic with the New England Revolution at Dilboy before the SomerCup 2026 tournament. The clinic was led by coaches of the New England Revolution.

As part of SomerCup 2026, residents were invited to showcase their skills at three free soccer tournaments at Dilboy Stadium (110 Alewife Brook Parkway). The final tournament will take place on Friday, July 17, from 1:30 to 5 p.m.: Grades 5 to 8 and 9 to 12.

Watch the games locally and support Somerville’s small businesses.

Between June 11 and July 19, a number of currently licensed Somerville bars, cafes, and restaurants extended operating hours so patrons have more time to enjoy the games. Find participating businesses at www.somervillema.gov/worldcup.

Join fellow fans and attend a local watch party organized by the Somerville Chamber of Commerce. Broadcasts of games will be shown in multiple languages. Remaining schedule is as follows: Sunday, July 19, 2 to 7 p.m., Union Square Plaza. Watch parties are free to attend, but space is limited. Reserve your spot at somervillechamber.org.
