“The Taste of Somerville is a celebration of what makes this city special: our restaurants, our culture, and our sense of community,” said Jennifer Lawrence, Acting Director of the Somerville Chamber of Commerce. “It’s an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to experience the incredible range of food and hospitality that defines Somerville.”
“Somerville’s dining and nightlife community is a vital part of our city’s identity and economy,” said Mayor Jake Wilson. “Events like the Taste of Somerville not only showcase the talent and diversity of our local businesses, but also bring people together and strengthen the social fabric of our neighborhoods. We are proud to support and celebrate the restaurants and entrepreneurs who make Somerville such a vibrant place.”
Participating restaurants will serve bites of signature dishes, offering attendees the chance to explore cuisines from across the city in a single evening.
“This event is about more than just great food. It’s really about community,” said Jess Willis, owner of restaurants Foundry, Saloon, the Independent, and Vera’s. “There are plenty of challenges facing the restaurant industry, and this is a chance for all of us in the Somerville restaurant scene to come together, have a good time supporting each other, and share what we love with the city. It’s also a great opportunity to meet and feed new customers.”
In addition, the Chamber is partnering with local students through a high school poster design initiative, with the winning design to be featured as the official event poster.
Taste of Somerville will take place on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Boynton Yards (101 South Street, Somerville, MA). A rain date is scheduled for June 11.
