Proposals for the redevelopment of the 90 Washington Street location are still being sought by the Somerville Redevelopment Authority.

The Somerville Redevelopment Authority gathered on April 1 via Zoom for its monthly meeting.

The chairman first discussed a review of a draft for the 2025 Somerville Redevelopment Authority Annual Report. Most members had little to comment on, with no changes made to the draft except for suggestions by Christine Stone. Christine Stone merely wished to change the wording for the first sentence of the report. The language of the report was the main focus of moderation, with softening certain words as well as trimming out words seen as unnecessary and wordy.

The other topic of discussion was the project plan to redevelop 90 Washington Street. The City of Somerville is still seeking proposals from a development team to create a multi-use project that will combine housing, green space, and retail.

Finally, the group discussed updates on recruitment for the Civic Advisory Committee and updates on the zoning proposal for Union Square. The group will meet next month to advance discussions on redevelopment in the city of Somerville.
