On March 1st at Somerville High School registered Democrats in Somerville will vote to elect 63 delegates to represent all 7 wards of the city at this May’s Democratic State Convention in Worcester. This year’s convention will be a Nominating Convention, where delegates will vote on nominating and endorsing candidates for statewide offices, including the contested United State Senate election between Ed Markey, Seth Moulton, and Alex Rikleen. Candidates for statewide office are eligible to be nominated for the September 1st ballot if they receive the votes of at least 15% of delegates, candidates who receive support from a majority of the delegates will receive the endorsement of the Massachusetts Democratic Party. 

Somerville’s caucus elections will be held on Sunday March 1, 2026  at 11:30 am at Somerville High School, voters are encouraged to register in advance for a ballot at SomervilleMassDems.org.
Interested Somerville voters can find more information on how to run or vote in these elections online at SomervilleMassDems.org or can attend on Sunday at 11am to check-in for a ballot, the caucus will begin at 11:30, registration will close at 11:45 am. The 2026 Massachusetts Democratic Party State Convention will be held on May 29th and 30th, at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA.
