Snow emergency still in effect: February 24 closures

All City offices will be physically closed on Tuesday, February 24. City staff will be working on the snow response and on any services that can be completed virtually, so please don’t hesitate to reach out.

 

Somerville Public Schools:

Closed Tuesday, February 24, and all in-person, onsite activities are canceled.

The Brown School Virtual Coffee Hour will take place online as scheduled.

The SHS Basketball away game is under review. Please check back for an update.

Libraries:

All library locations will be closed on Tuesday.

Council on Aging:

All Council on Aging sites will be closed Tuesday, and all in-person programming is canceled, there is no virtual programming scheduled. The senior transportation program will accept calls for advance reservations for later dates.

Recreation:

  All Recreation programs are canceled on Tuesday.

Ginny Smithers Pool:

The Ginny Smithers Pool will be closed on Tuesday and all pool programs canceled.

Overnight Warming Center (42 Prescott St.):

The Emergency Overnight Warming Center will remain open all day Monday (until 7:30 a.m. Tuesday) and will resume normal overnight hours Tuesday evening.

Note that the Somerville Homeless Coalition Engagement Center will resume normal daytime hours on Tuesday.
