We’re excited to officially introduce FLUFF as the name of our newest (and fluffiest) member of the Somerville Police Department.

Named after Marshmallow Fluff, a Somerville original, Fluff received the most votes and truly reflects the spirit, history, and heart of our community.

Our 5-month-old Yellow Lab mix is continuing his training with Hero Pups and will soon begin serving as SPD’s Community Comfort Dog, supporting community members, victims, and officers during difficult or stressful moments.

Fluff will also be getting his very own social media accounts, so you can follow along as he trains, grows, and begins his work in the community — stay tuned for those details.
