Somerville Media Center and The Somerville Beacon hosted candidate debates for Somerville’s mayoral race on Monday, October 20, 2025, moderated by Ben Orenstein, founder of the Somerville Beacon. The event took place at the Crystal Ballroom at Somerville Theatre, 55 Davis Square.

Featured in this debate are candidates Willie Burnley, Jr., and Jake Wilson, each running for Mayor of the City of Somerville, MA.

The debates are open to all candidates certified for the November 4 ballot. Special thanks to The Somerville Theatre for their generous support of this event.
