Somerville’s Preliminary Election Day is Tuesday, September 16.  If you’re voting in person, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Look up your polling place before you head out. You can still vote in person if you’ve applied to vote by mail.

If you’re voting by mail, you can hand-deliver your ballot to the Elections office at City Hall (93 Highland Ave.) by 8 p.m. or return it to a drop box before 6 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16. Ballots returned by mail must be received by the Elections Department, not just mailed or postmarked, by 8 p.m. on September 16. Check the status of your vote-by-mail application on the State’s website.
