The Somerville Organization for Multimedia Experiences (SOME) is proud to present SOMEDAY FEST, a day-long festival at the Boston Figurative Art Center featuring Somerville artists and musicians.
With funding from the Mass Cultural Council, SOMEDAY FEST celebrates strictly Somerville-based talent with two stages (acoustic and amplified) and an array of local vendors and makers.
The festival will transform BFAC’s loading dock into an outdoor stage showcasing the city’s top indie acts, performing from 5 to 10 p.m. with dynamic projected visuals from Digital Awareness lighting up the building’s facade. The event will kick off at 2 p.m. with intimate, indoor performances from local folk-adjacent artists and vendor tables for visitors to shop around!
This is a day to celebrate Somerville’s local artists. SOMEDAY FEST aims to fill the absence of NICE, a Fest, this year and is an inaugural attempt to place Somerville’s truly DIY scene on the map.
SOME Co-Founder and Editor Ryan DiLello comments, “Somerville deserves a truly local festival that showcases its bands, vendors, artists, small businesses, and organizations. This city is brimming with inspiration and I hope this day provides artists and arts supporters with new friends, ideas, and encouragement. Hopefully SOMEDAY FEST is just the first of many DIY festivals that will help enliven and cultivate the local arts community.”
